This sparkling cider was made by fermenting spent red grape (Cabernet Franc and Merlot) skins from a friend’s Seneca Lake vineyard in juice pressed from our own organically grown Idared apples

The sit within the zones of Mezzane and Tregnano  planted in 2001

Total ageing in the barrels took 9 months in the presence of lees without stirring them

The soils are a range of alluvial sand and gravel and feature Dolomitic limestone

2023 Benoit Courault Gilbourg VDF Blanc 1.5L Magnum Loire, France Domaine Dupeuble from two parcels with clayFrom several plots located on the Coteau des Mailles in Faye dAnjou, 40 years old vines of Chenin Blanc, aged 8 months in oak casks and barrique. Great vintage with a rich nose, ripeness but still with balance, the mouthfeel is dense and a wine that is delicious and long with some tension.
